About

The people and the process behind the accessibility-first studio.

We are a small studio with one belief: accessibility is a starting point, not a patch.

Every layout in this theme began life in a screen reader before it was ever styled. That order — test first, design second — has been our way of working for more than two decades.

How we work

Design in the browser, test with JAWS and NVDA, verify every colour with a contrast analyser, and only then call a page done. We work in writing — clear reports, annotated screenshots and prioritised checklists your team can act on — so nothing gets lost between a call and the code.

Our story

2003 — Founded in Kolkata

A one-person studio opens with a stubborn rule: if it fails in a screen reader, it fails.

2016 — The compliance years

India’s Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act raises the bar. We spend the era auditing and remediating government and enterprise portals against it.

2021 — Themes and plugins

Our accessible-themes practice gets its own home: carousels, forms and login flows that pass the same battery we run for clients.

2026 — Ariade ships free

The whole test battery, packaged into a free block theme on WordPress.org — the site you are reading is the theme itself.
